The Mughal Cascade, Night Scented Garden & Astronomical Observatory

Doug Patterson, Architect and artist, will be talking about his involvement in this remarkable development. The project incorporates a Cascade, which forms a staircase rising 70 metres and flanked by scented gardens and a marble pavilion. At the top there is an Astronomical Observatory. The marble was sourced and carved in Northern India and shipped from Bombay to the West Indies. The team that made it all possible included specialist structural and hydraulic engineers, artists and craftsmen from India and construction expertise from the West Indies. The presentation is co-hosted with the Village Hall Management Committee.

Tickets, which are £5 each, should be purchased in advance from:
Sarah Scully 270482 or
Rosemary Lister 270179

Cheese and wine will be served.

All regular meetings of the Society are in the Village Hall and start at 7.30pm on the first Tuesday of each month.

Non-members are always welcome.
